Team DJFE Triathlon Series
Due to the significant impact COVID-19 continues to pose to our community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person event and create a virtual event in it's place. While this was an incredibly difficult decision, we do believe that it is the right one to protect the safety and best interest of all involved.
Our race series was created to help bring the sport of triathlon to Sonoma County. These races are short distance triathlons/duathlons open to all levels of ability. They are an excellent first triathlon and help you succeed in a non-competitive atmosphere. All are welcome to participate. Excellent for novices, great competition for the seasoned triathlete. This event is non-competitive and time is not recorded. It is designed for you to complete and enjoy.
The sprint is a 400y swim in a body of water in your choice, a 9 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. The mini sprint is a 100y swim in a body of water in your choice, a 3 mile bike ride and a 1 mile run. For those with no access to a pool or body of water, our duathlon could be for you. The format will be a 1 mile run, a 9 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. We have also added a family team division (for groups up to 5 people) to add some fun and variety to this virtual race.
Each finisher will receive a Team DJFE medal, a race t-shirt, and an athlete goody bag. You must register before September 1st in order to reserve your shirt.
There will also be prizes for the following:

Athlete Testimonials
This was the most fun athletic event I have done. It may not have been the longest or the most challenging event out there, but it is one of the most empowering and rewarding ones. The feeling I got from crossing that finish line is one of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely do this event again and again.
~ Michelle
The Team DJFE triathlon is excellent for anybody who wants to push themselves out of their comfort zone with a supportive, well-organized event. Dana has a good cadre of volunteers who offer encouragement while you’re out there pushing yourself. I’ve done a number of triathlons and other organized sporting events and this one was by far one of my favorites because it’s fun, the scenery is great, and the competition is friendly. Not to mention, the swag bag is well worth the entrance fee. I definitely recommend this event and will be participating in future DJFE events.
~ Sarah
I felt so supported and successful after completing this triathlon that even though I came in dead last, I would do it again!
~ Dorinda
The Team DJFE Triathlon was a great experience! It allowed experienced triathletes to challenge themselves and first time triathletes to reach new levels in their fitness journey in a fun and supportive environment!
~ Sue
I turned 30 last month and wanted to do something to continue to challenge myself. A friend suggested a triathlon–an exciting idea at first. After looking into them I was intimidated. Then I found your race which was the perfect way to start. I loved how your volunteers were super helpful and encouraging. Before the race one volunteer walked me through hanging up my bike, setting out my gear, and tips for having a smooth transition. My expectations were surpassed.
~ Renee
If you have always wanted to do a triathlon and have doubts about your abilities and some fear about the sport, this is YOUR race! You will empowered and supported!
