COURSE DESCRIPTION
Mini Sprint Triathlon
Swim – The race will begin with a 100-yard swim, which will be 4 lengths in the pool. A length is the distance from wall to wall in the pool.

Bike – Riders will mount their bikes and ride west on the Santa Rosa Creek Trail until you reach the turn around and return to Finley. The distance is 3 miles. Helmets are required before you leave the transition area.

Run – Once you rack your bike, runners will leave Finley and head south on Stony Point Road. The turn around will be at the W. 9th Light. Runners will turn around the pole and return back to the Finish Line at Finley. The distance is 1 mile.

Bike – Riders will mount their bikes and ride west on the Santa Rosa Creek Trail until they reach the turn around at Willowside Road and return to Finley. The distance is 9 miles. Helmets are required before you leave the transition area.
Run – Once you rack your bike, runners will leave Finley and head EAST on the Santa Rosa Creek Trail. The turn around will be the Dutton Rd. trail break. Runners will run around the pole and return back to the Finish Line at Finley. The distance is 3.1 miles.
Bike Course Rules and Safety Regulations:
Please be careful while on the road. Riders must stay to the right at all times. Riders must not draft other riders. You must maintain at least THREE bike lengths at all times behind the rider in front of you, and you MUST ride single file while on the road. Since this is a private event, all roads, sidewalks and trails are open to the public, so wear your helmet (required) and use proper hand signals and /or verbal commands when approaching cyclists or walkers. It is important that we do not impact the trail in a negative way. Passing is allowed in a timely manner when it is safe to do so. After passing return to the right side of the road/trail and continue to ride safely. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
Transition Area
The transition area will be on a first-come basis.The transition area is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area.
Aid Stations
There will be one aid station at the bike turn-around and one at the run turn-around.
Equipment
Expected water temperature for the pool is 81 degrees. Wet suits, Swim fins and snorkels are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc. are not allowed while on the bike.
